That was hectic!!
One of the best peleton races, as it had a big crescendo in the end!
Cassidy was a teamplayer there, could have won!
So far so good Shanghai!
Another race tomorrow, same time!

Cassidy will be angry, with that one, big win for Evans.
Very hard to overtake, despite how wide the track was
I'm giving up on Vandoorne getting on top of these gen3 cars, in the peloton style one he always drops down

Six good laps anyway. Cassidy left it too late.

I’m really enjoying the Porsche vs Jaguar story

Very strange that Jaguar were telling him to continue to hold on the second to last lap. Weird.

Cassidy would have been shoved off the track by Wehrlein's brand of anti-racing just as much as Evans. I don't think they lost too much. Wehrlein basically cheated to gain the lead in the first place.

One step closer to Buemi/Di Grassi’s long standing record of 13 each being equalled and surpassed

Wehrlein deserves to lose his podium place for that move on Evans, amazed it's merely noted.

...okay, I know I said I wasn't going to watch, but I did And this was actually one of the best peloton races I can remember. Cassidy was absolutely screwed by his team, though.

And no safety car hopefully the same deal tomorrow
#64

Tomorrow the race is gonna be one lap shorter too!
The tension between Cassidy and Wehrlein, Jaguar and Porsche is rising, each race.
The championship battle is getting real!

Echo thoughs that first 25 laps were fairly meaningless but the last few were very good.
Cassidy definitely screwed by Jaguar, all that extra energy and wasn't allowed to use it.

They look so slow...
When pelotoning definitely yes, partly because it's a wide track. I roughly timed the lap Dennis did in the Porsche road car and that was approx 1m28s so the race cars are significantly quicker, even if they don't always look it.

Watching the race yesterday, is it me or it's so pointless is wide tracks like these that people kept intentionally ceding 1st position as it is easy to take it back and its important to conserve energy?
They need to do something about it, every race nobody wants to lead too early. Farcical

But you need to be in the right place at the right time to win it, positioning is key.

‘Yeah but that’s diff-‘ yeah I won’t be interested in thrashing out the nuances, I’m here to enjoy the race.
I don’t think it’s nearly as bad as some people make out, but I am in favour of taking measures to pull back on the extremes of it. All depends on what they’re actually able to do with this battery though, as that’s what’s causing all this. It’s not where FE originally planned to be with Gen3, and hopefully won’t be by Gen4 at the latest.

Vandoorne has been 2nd on the grid quite a few times this season, races haven't gone well for him,
Will it be any different today, we'll see

Hughes with a much needed good result for his FE career future
Much more of a traditional race today.
Think it's good to have Double Header weekends like this: one longer, energy saving heavy race and a second, more sprint race.

The recent thread lengths here are also good indicators of how successfully they killed off this series with gen 3. These anti-races are a waste of time for everyone involved.

Well, this is not what Gen3 was supposed to be. Issues with the batteries and Attack Charge have, purely by accident, led to this form of racing. But yeah - the sooner it's history, the better.

It's surprising to hear that these cars are draggy. Weren't they supposed to be incredibly efficient in terms of drag?
