Ericsson's head shot in the timing tower is downright demonic.
Posted 12 April 2025 - 15:46
Dixon may have caught the wall.
Posted 12 April 2025 - 15:50
It's practice but a rare mistake from Scott Dixon

Posted 12 April 2025 - 15:54
Looks like Scott pushing the limits and found it places it can never go
Posted 12 April 2025 - 15:59
Thought that was Dixon heading for the wall again when it hopped over a bump there

Will Power brushed that wall Scott Dixon hit

May weather came early. This overcast is common in So Cal in May and June: "May Gray" and "June Gloom"
Posted 12 April 2025 - 18:47
Herta overpushed it and broke the toelink. Yet he advances

Power OUT.

Both Will Power and Josef Newgarden eliminated after first round of qualifying

Ahhh forgot to check if it was on another channel, just saw it wasn't on Sky F1 yet.
I'm not sure why Sky need to show a re-run of the qualifying session that literally finished an hour before
Anyway, IndyCar we go

Jupiter Man does it. We'll see if he converts it to a win tomorrow - cheers.

So weird that they still have not managed to get some meaningful timing info on the screen during qualifying.

We’ll see how May goes, but I’m starting to get the feeling that a change of scenery would be useful for Newgarden. Maybe to the 9 if it coincides with Dixon calling it a day? Or would he be a better fit at McLaren?

I’ll be that guy. Newgarden to Cadillac…

That "Driver's Eye" camera is pretty cool. The tech for it is pretty interesting as well- good article about at racer.com.
I guess he's a nice enough guy (my son had dinner with him when at COTA a couple years ago for the F1 race and had a great time) but I actually find Will Buxton even more irritating than Croftie. Just something about his delivery. Actually think Jack Harvey is doing a good job as a pit reporter, though I'm sure he'd rather be in a car. Didn't realize the pit reporters could work for two networks- was surprised to see Kevin Lee also doing the IMSA race.
Busy day tomorrow starting early from the desert!!

I winced when Lundgaard didn't take his hands off the wheel before hitting the tyre wall, that is the stuff of broken wrists.

… but the weather will be lovely for the race, as it always is.
Probably. Personally, I'm rooting for the overcast.
It sure caught out Buxton, who was utterly unprepared for what was unexpected to him
During warm-up, he said it was "not what he was promised" "it's cold!" and said it was like Skegness
Locals and long-timers know better

To all those complaining about FOX coverage, like lack of clock, etc.
Hey, they got "Kickstart My Heart" by Motley Crue, so what do you want from them?

And the international F1 feed did no better just now. Whatever passed for timing and scoring on screen was a mess.

I just hope Herta got the Hertamania out his system early...

Did this race always used to be on so late? Was just looking forward to settling down for the evening and watching this, only to see that according to the IndyCar website, it doesn't start for another five hours?!
Come on IndyCar, think of us UKers who have work on a Monday morning.
