I've tried before, but maybe it'll work better this time. How about we start a small league?? Anyone intested? I already have a page for it. It would look something like this:

I got a 42.306 Of course, I decided to use the Mitsubishi gto twin-turbo, and I've lent GTo to someone, so I was running at the High speed ring.

I can still play, though, right?

How about we just do arcade mode/racing/manual gear box/Honda S2000 on the second circuit so I can play...

I just bought the game...and I am working out of town so I don't want to get my licenses and cars yet...

Any takers?

'stock' tune

1:29:583

Thats not a good lap by any means, but at least I'm top of the chart!! Posted Image For Now.

Mind if i join in the fun???
Posted a 1:07.454 at Red Rock Valley in a Denso Supra GT.
Posted a 1:26.579 at Rome Night in same.
I think I could band off at least two more seconds if I could just get through the last corner cleanly.
Peeko, I tried emailing you my posting for Red Rock but the address is not activePosted Image

I got a @hotmail account yesterday. Seems to work just fine. Maybe you need to re-apply???

I hope those aren't real times on the sample league sheet. I haven't been able to come close to any of those times except with the Suzuki Escudo.

Well, I got a 1:22.238 with the Castrol Supra '96, but I think there's room for improvment; I was racing on a black & white 17 inch TV!!!

Tried the TVR Speed 12 at Red Rock. My what a twithy witch it is. Went back to Rome night with Denso Sard Supra GT and only improved to 1:25.686. The last corner eats me up.

Great fun was had by all this weekend last. found out that after three Brews no one can get the STP Viper around Red Rocks cleanly. Lots of laughs though:D.

TNSFH: Only three brews??? That had better be strong stuff!! I have a rather humourous story regarding GT1, a bottle of Vodka and a Honda CRX race... Needless to say, halfway round the second lap, my car went straight on and I woke up the next morning!!!! :)

AAAARGH :(, I can't get through the last corner at Rome Night without clanging off the wall or going so slow that you'd think my dear mother was driving, and now I've broken my controller. Looks like it's going to take a day for the Epoxy to dry. 1:25.545

No, Rome night is a differant track. I think it is a bonus track that you get after getting all your licenses.

Last corner is a bitch!!!!

I believe its the 22nd track. And I've lowered my time to a 1:20.330. A sub 1:20 is not impossible judging from my sector times. The Supra I'm using is 'stock' as well. If anyone wants the settings, lemme know.

Aren't all of these GT cars equipped with Race Modifications? If so, what do you guys mean by "stock"? Do you mean you've left the settings alone or what? Just wondering.

Jac man, yes, just run as is, this is because I usually get lost in the diff settings and ruin the car!!! If you have any good setups feel free to post them, so we can all try 'em!! :)

I think I'll have to get a new car!! the Unisia Skyline sucks, it seems to have a built-in misfire!!

I guess what I mean by stock is there aren't any modifications added to it, like TC or whatever. The car is driven the way it was bought/won. I did however, make adjustments to the suspension, gears, downforce, etc... I always use Red Rock as my test track for setting up my cars.

TNSFH,
I was paying attention to the last corner to see how I negotiate it. What I do is hit the brakes hard and gear down as soon as the car reaches the signs to your left (the one that tell you there is a sharp right turn). when you get to the hairpin, don't worry about keeping to the outside of the curb, just aim for the turn. I'm not sure which car you used, but with a powerful RWD car, if you've enterd the turn a little too quick, you can ususally floor it and the back end will spin around and with the right timing you can be pointing in the right direction. Hope this helps.

Thanks Peeko. What I did last night was watch the replay from differant views and finaly figured a good line. I get through it at a reasnoble speed now. Good idea to use Red Rocks to adjust set-up. I usualy adjust gearing first so I just top out in sixth at the end of the longest straight, then go back and play with the suspension and downforce setting.

1:25.053 with Denzo Sard Supra GT
Tyres: Super Soft
Final Drive: 3.35
Can't remember the other settings, I'll write them down tonight.

Looks like I have a lot of tuning to do to beat a 1:20.

1:23.963 is best so far in the Denso Sard Supra. My sector 4 time sucks ( 26.711 ). I believe your right Peeko that a sub 1:20. is possible.

6th gear 1-1
Final drive 3.34
Raised the torque on the limited slip initial to get more jump off the corners.(this helped the most to lower time)
Ride height 68
Spring travel at 13 rear and 12 front
Downforce 65 front, 89 rear

As far as I know the extra tracks were opened on the arcade disc after I got the super license.

Try the Escudo at Pikes Peak. Almost like the real thing, although I ran it in a 1976 SS Camaro (for real).

AlesiGOD, have you won all the races in the arcade mode of the game?? This unlocks some tracks.

Also, win all the races in the GT league on the Simulation disc. I'm pretty sure that then you will be able to compete...;)

BTW Has anyone tried the Motorsport Land track? For bloody go-karts I think. Any lap where you don't go on the grass is a slow one IMO.

Posted new time last night.

1:22.252 Denso Sard Supra GT.

Increased LSD to 30 on initial and reduced Braking LSD to 10. Raised Final drive to 3.30.

I could swear the ghost car rear-ended me and sent me into the wall, either that or I missed a down-shift:).

I wish I could tell you exactly what race it was to win the Denso, but yes I used the Escudo to win most of the unlimited races.

Try the other unlimited race in the Enduro series, Rome I think.

Now I wish I would have kept notes on what race wins what car.

New time of 1:21.388. still stuck in a sector 4 time of greater than 26.XX:mad:[p][Edited by TNSFH on 06-16-2000]

Tried all sorts of suspension setups on the Unisia Skyline, all to no avail, the thing seems to be bottoming out, generally slow as crap .

Even my road R34 is quicker. Off to buy a Castrol Supra... I'll keep you posted.

DJS, I have some good settings for my Calsonic Skyline (did a 1:20.7 with it). I would think it'll work the same for your car. I'll post them if you want to try it. But, the Supra is faster anyway.
