how you are doing on Bus stop chicane, I find it really hard
when I try to use the kerbs the car jumps violently
did you try more laps with high fuel load? I did half of race distance (before I really disintigrated my Jaguar at Stavelot) yesterday and noticed that after let's say 8-10 laps, there is a problem with a ride height, it start to bottom heavily at Eau Rouge, and this make the speed drops when about 20 kph

Frederick, as you may have noticed in my previous post, few simmers here want to reset all there game parameters for this fun hot lat competition so I have suggested we try setting the OPPOSITION SPREAD to ALL THE SAME and run a dummy qualifying run to get out team-mates time and use this as our benchmark. Doing this doesn't invalidate any of our old times but by stating our times in relation to our equalised team-mate we remove all variable like carsets and track sets from the mix because our team-mates will be running with the same variables.
See my earlier post if you want to try this, it speeds up the team-mate by at least one second even if he is Micheal Scumacher so he becomes a tough target to beat.

Really really cool man i am having a gala time here !
I have been running Rubens car and i know what you mean by saying you jump over the kerbs while exiting the busstop chicane ..it used to happen to me and it still does sometimes ..i even manage to bang into the barriers sometimes on the exit but since the last four days (since i was reliving the action) i found the perfect line thru the exit ..u can go absolutely flat out ..its difficult to explain -
Make sure that u do not i repeat do not run over the kerbs after entering the chicane ( ie the ones that are on the left side ...not on the entry but after the entry u have those kerbs on ur left ...don't run over them ..) u can kiss them but do not clatter over them ...id u do so u can take a line that will see u flat thru the exit ..so after entering the corner and avoiding those kerbs position ur car quickly (while getting on the power ) in such a manner that ur right wheel should just about run over the exit kerbs on the right while simultaneously ur left wheels should kiss the kerbs on the left be carefull not to run over either of the kerbs on the left and right fully ..put it this way ...ur car should run over the left and right exit kerbs only partially simultaneosly...hope u could understand ! oh by the way i did experience the bottoming out prob in the race at eau rogue and totalled my ferrari while midway thru the corner - i guess u have to increase the ride height ! onto monza !!

Anyone had a look at the GP3 2000 addon pack yet?
Is it worth setting up a hotlap compo once enough people have it?
At least then everyone will be using the same carset and physics.

Any recommendations for a sturdy replacement? Force feedback is not required unless anyone thinks it will make me faster as the only wheel I tested (Microsoft) felt phony in the extream a couple of years ago when I tried it.
Final best time for a while (Until Christmas?) was 1:26.68 at Monza with 1998 setup and track my equalised competitor turned a 1:25.65 and I was on a better time lap than that when a steering twitch put me off the track in the chicane.
New wheel needed badly!

'Before changing pots though, be sure to first look in your windows SETTINGS then GAME CONTROLLER options app. In the ADVANCED or CONTROLLER ID tab, you will find a check box for Poll With Interrupts Enabled. That box should be UNCHECKED, as having a checkmark in that box will also cause erratic calibration similar to a failing potentiometer'
It's too late for me to test the interrupt cure as I gave my decrepid wheel away because it was so frustrating, in particular the steering twich problem! :eek

I 'm on a mission to get pole in Monza on Ace level with '98 cars/tracks 9 (v. 1.13) but have always fallen fractionally short to Hakkinen (consistent low 1:25 guy) on each occasion. However today I had my golden opportunity- track was drying, dry line was developing, crossed start finish line with just 5 secs to go, all that was needed was a careful drive cos there was enough grip for a mid 1:26 with the pole currently standing at 1:28.1 and all the important cars had run out of laps. The stage was set for Damon Hill's (my car ) finest hour, putting the Jordan on pole position, that would have put Murray Walker into hyperdrive. The pressure was too much- I spun at the first chicane
