Mono Posto= :D

Looks close at the top.

How about JV in the BAR! 5mil for them in the Atlas league was a steal! Jax might whoop some ass if his car holds together.

BMW has been bluffing so far IMO. RS's showing makes me think I'm right.

Watch out for those Minardis!

Four or five drivers have a good chance of winning. It should be a great race.

BTW: NO TIME FOR JTrulli.

It`s so close!!!!!

The first four separated by a mere .6 secs!

If it`s like that for all the season...

Is BAR (JV) for real????

can`t wait for the real one...

RAD,

Trulli didnt get any laps in, dont know what happened.

Lets not jinx JV, lets see what he does in the next practice in about half hour, then we can celebrate!

Interesting so far, Villeneuve I think is the real surprise. BAR seemed so SLOW in testing. Well, they are still about 2 seconds off last year's pole, so can't tell too much yet. Williams also look promising, I guess the BMW might be better than I originally thought.

wow, I hope they can keep it that close tomorrow. However, I would expect Mika or Schumi to put in one of their magic laps and maybe create a larger gap. They are both capable of doing it if they find a completly traffic free lap.

By the way, I think the gap between Reds and Silvers and the rest is pretty considerable already. And because they are better cars, those four will be able to get more out of them once they all go to the limit. If at least one of these four cars makes it to the end with no problems, there is no chance for anyone else to win.

Also, it looks like McLaren wasn't sandbagging. Ferrari seems to be right there with them. Two years ago there were 2 seconds between the two!!!!!!

Prefer to wait for Qualifying, but it looks like Ferrari & McClarens start on an even keel this year, which is what Schuey said a couple of days ago. makes a change from being a second or two slower at qualifying stage. I don't think the top 4 were sandbagging. So it looks like a 4-horse race this year. You can see how much closer and faster Rubens is compared to Eddie, it looks good for Team Ferrari (WCC).

Surprises from Ralf, Villernere and Verstappen

Man you JV fans are excited aren't you...it is only practice, but I guess after last year, you want something to cheer about :-)

Red and Silver all the way and by quite some margin too.

Looks to me that the Macs and Ferraris are just doing the "mine is bigger than yours" MS has just had a big crash, DC moves up to second...

Practice is only practice, let's wait until the races

Michael Schumacher was unhurt after a big accident in Friday's second free practice session. The German lost control at a fast right-hander of the Melbourne track 27 minutes into the final session.
The Ferrari skated across the gravel and hit the tyres very hard, causing a lot of damage to the left-hand side.

Schumacher climbed out of the car unaided, and was ferried back to the pits on the back of a motorcycle.

McLaren's David Coulthard had a lurid 360 degree spin at the same corner 10 minutes later, but was able to continue without damage
