I did go to Nivelles to see the 1972 Belgian GP. Not something to particularly brag about.

However, with the passing of time, I feel this has become something of a feather in my cap, in the same way as having seen some lousy West End production that lasted only two nights before closing, that has since passed in to legend.

Mind you, the place oozed atmosphere compared to some of the current GP circuits.

Well, despite some impressive lists, I'm afraid we all pale when compared to Vicky Chandhok, head if Indian motorsport, who was recently quoted in Autosport, "I've been to every race track in the world."

See article in current on-line magazine (sorry, don't know how to link).

Presumably no one actually believes that? It sounds a fairly implausible claim to me, even given no constraints of time, funds or access; and even sticking to those currently licenced and in use.

Yes, I was amazed he said it and I was amazed that Autosport printed that portion of the interview. It just made him look foolish.

Mont Ventoux hillclimb, drove up in road car several times in 1980s. Wow! nice memorial part way up.

But isn't that for Tommy Simpson, the cyclist who died there in 1967?

Most of what other Australian's have posted.

Although no mention of Aurthur's Seat Hillclimb from any other Australian yet, I guess growing up in Mornington gives me an advantage there.

Have walked Monaco and now driven around 4 Chinese mainland tracks, Chengdu (A1 competed there twice) being just 5 minutes from my house.

I dont know about the cyclist but the memorial I am speaking of is for (I think two but could be wrong) racing drivers who died in 1920s. I suspect I have a photograph but it may take a while to find!!

I can now add Dieppe 1929 -1935. Cracking track !!  The increasingly steep downhill curving section from Val Gosset to St Aubin is as good as any bit of track in Europe in my view. Shame they've widened & straightened the road up the valley from St Aubin and made much of the esses into parking areas ( though if you follow the line up the last one, you're going through what was quite a photographed area where the spectators used to congregate on the hill overlooking the track).

A modest collection:

Repeatedly since the sixties: Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Thruxton and Snetterton (all configs of those circuits).

Oulton Park (fifties and nineties), Croft (nineties), Mallory Park (fifties), Crystal Palace (sixties and seventies). Bikes at Oliver's Mount about ten years ago.

1970 French GP at Clermont Ferrand, 1973 1000K at Spa, 1976 German GP at Nurburgring.

Have driven round the 1923 Tours circuit, but missed the race.

I like this!  Especially as I went to Thruxton yesterday for the first time in 20 years and other than the new BARC building it seemed to be exactly the same!

So, for me:

Albert Park, Melbourne

Singapore (street circuit)

Indianapolis (US GP, not the 500)

COTA

Milwaukee mile

Spa Francorchamps

Silverstone

Donington

Brands Hatch

Thruxton

Goodwood (I'm counting the Revival)

I've visited Brooklands and walked Monaco the week after the race was finished!
