As far as I'm aware 254 CGT was Speedwell's demo car. Jan 1962 Motor Rally magazine show it as a AH Sprite with a fibreglass bonnet to fit the original bonnet opening (alas with a bulge incorporated). The photo relating to Speedwell's stand at the 1962 Racing Car Show preview.
As shown at Stilltime, a bit of Speedwell poetic licence to fit an MG badge on what is most likely the same car.
