Condor,

I'll make it brief:

1) Make sure your browser is set to accept cookies from atlasf1.com

2) Delete all @www.atlasf1.com, @atlasf1.com and @207.168.2.180 cookies

3) For the subscroption login: check the "auto login" box before you press submit (on the subscription login)

4) For the BB login: make sure your Bulletin Board profile options include remembering your username/password (using cookies). Then log in

5) Make sure you are indeed visiting http://www.atlasf1.com (as opposed to http://207.168.2.180)

Cheers,

Bira

I tried to upgrade my subscription a couple weeks ago and when I pressed submit, it just gave me a page not found display. I tried again just now and same thing. Even when I tried the contact support link it showed me the page not found link.

Countdown to GP doesn't work using Mac OSX and Safari browser. Just characters 'NalN' in the boxes where the time should tick away. Probably not Atlas' fault, works fine in IE.

Bira,

Same problem for me. Same operating system and browser versions as Jay.

Iternet explorer version 5 has a bug relating to SSL (secure socket layer). It's more common on MAC, where the error message would be something like "data encryption error", but on specific IE5 builds, it will also timeout immediately as it attempts connection to a certain SSL.

The long term solution is to upgrade your browser; you are bound to run into problems with other websites who use Apache and SSL at one point or another.

If you oppose for whatever reason to upgrading your Internet Explorer to a newer version (something I recommend doing regardless, by the way), then the short term solution I can offer is to either try connecting with a different browser or faxing us your renewal details (username and email + credit card details). Our fax number is +1 949 515 8066.

After waiting another 2 months for things to sort themselves out.....I'm still having problems.
So decided to have a go at your new set of instructions.

How do I make sure my browser is set to accept cookies from atlasf1.com?

I think it's set to accept anything that anyone gives it - but I don't know how to make sure it is.

I can only cope with step 1 at the moment ....once I've conquered that...I can move on :)

Let's start off with you letting us know what browser version you are using?

If you are unsure, open your browser, in the menu at the top go to Help -> About -- it will give you the browser's name and version number

Goodie, that will make it easier...

OK, let's do it step by step...

1) Open Internet Explorer and in the menu go to Tools -> Internet Options

2) In the options box that opens, move to the tab called "Privacy" (third from the left).

3) At the bottom of that box, click on the button that says "Edit"

4) In the field that says "Address of website" type in atlasf1.com and click on "Allow"

5) You will see "atlasf1.com" move to the bottom window (titled "Managed web sites"). Click on "OK" at the bottom to close that box.

6) Now that you are back to the Internet Options box, move to the tab called "General" (first from the left).

7) In the middle of this box, under the title of "Temporary Internet Files", there are three buttons. Click on the right-hand one which says "Settings"

8) In the new box that opens there are three buttons at the bottom. Click on the middle one which says "View Files"

9) This will open a new folder window, with lots of different files in them. Before you do anything there, go back to the Internet Explorer window and click on "OK" (you will have two "OK" buttons to click in order to close the dialogue boxes). Once the dialogue box disappears close Internet Explorer entirely.

10) Write this down or print this out, because you will want to do the next step(s) while all Internet Explorer windows are closed.

11) Go back to the folder window, where all the files are, which is titled "Temporary Internet Files"

The files are sorted in columns, with each column name at the top, on grey background: Name, Internet Address, Type, Size, Expires, etc...

Click on the grey back that says "Internet Address" -- this will sort the files in the order of the website address.

You now want to look for the following files (remember to look at the column titled "Internet Address" when you look for these files, and remember that the files are sorted in alphabetical order -- numbers first, then letters):

cookie:@207.168.2.180
cookie:@atlasf1.com
cookie:@www.atlasf1.com

(the bit will be a word that represents your username on your computer. For example, on my computer it appears as cookie:administrator@atlasf1.com)

If you find one or all of these files, delete them (highlight them with your mouse and press the delete key on your keyboard).

Once you are done, close that window.

12) Open Internet Explorer and go to http://www.atlasf1.com. Log in with your subscription login details. Remember to check the box for "auto login"

13) Now go to the Bulletin Board, at http://www.atlasf1.com/bb/index.php. Log in with your Bulletin Board login details.

You should now be logged in on both the subscription and the Bulletin Board, and potentially should not encounter problems again.

Keep me posted.

Is it just the high traffic level with the Australian Grand Prix?

I've struck problems posting the last hour or so, and over the past two days I know I'm not alone in posting and not knowing the post was made ('Cannot find server' message comes up... backspace, resend... and the post's there twice!).

Like I said, I'm not alone in having this problem.

...and now the forum pages aren't updating...

Despite many posts, they're remaining hours out of date.
