Hi guys, here's another thread :p
Why don't we all download Tanta's 2003 Track updates, he has updated 6 circuits, you can find them here http://spider.m4driv...RH03Updates.htm . Austria includes the tarmac runoffs at turn 1, 2 and the last corner, Monaco features a new turn 1 and pitexit, a new rascasse and all the other 2003 corners. Hockenheim is much more realistic too, so I suggest we'd try them out :)

Everything you need for the game:

www.emacf1.com ==> Ralph Hummerich's 2003 season package 1.2
All the 2003 shapes, textures and no-tabacco liveries (France, Silverstone Indy only)

http://spider.m4driv...RH03Updates.htm ==> 2003 Tracks, shapes and textures.
Very easy to install .exe, get them all!

http://sln.m4d.sm
Track texture updates, most are better than Tantra's textures in my opinion. When you install them, make sure you don't copy the MTS files from the zip file, and drop them in your root track folder (for example Austria instead of Austria_2002)

I might be interested in joining you guys. If so, what is the *minimum* I need to do?

Is it:

1) start with the basic F1C install
2) install RH's 2003 season package
3) install tantra's tracks & stuff

It looks like I can skip the last track texture update, right?

Correct :)

First install the game ofcourse, then patch it with Rh 2003. And after that you might want to install Tantra's track, but we're not sure we will race them, right? Another nice track you can download is France 2003, with it's new third sector and run-off area's, get it here; www.maxrevs.de It's a must have!

I have already got Hockenheim update, Kanec, Greg, Pry, etc, we'll all be racing there with the update on sunday.

I will get the others, but I'm not going to race on the other tracks yet, but will get them.

I've had problems with my connection the last few days so it may be wise to tee up someone else such as Greg to host.

Any takers or chance my connect?

Me and Kanec with other atlas people spent a day at the bar after watching the race, so we came back late, and didn't really feel like playing all day, we also thought, with Greg not playing, A3, Amrl, some others, it didn't really feel like a race of competition, better to do it with more people, lets aim to have the race next week sometime.

That's cool guys. If you want to race during the week then I can make it but I will be out of town next weekend. After that my weekends should be free for awhile.

as for the dates of the german race, I'm fine with the usual sunday time.

Ah, so when would be a good day to race? After one hour of practice I'm starting to like this new Hockenheim :)

If we are racing today i'm still not a good host with so many people. Temperatures make my PC sad as the room isn't getting enough ventilation.

I would like to race pretty soon, as then Hungry is coming up, so get this Hockenheim out of the way.

Been playing Indy lap as well, very fun circuit to drive, the straight is cool.

i've just found an official copy here in Calgary (been looking for a while) so now I can play guilt free. When's the race, fellows?

I wouldn't mind joining in, but unfortunately I use keyboard (as I just got the game) and I drive with a few driver aids (low steering assist, upshifts, TC high and ABS high). Does this mean I would have to drive without the above aids? What are your rules?

BTW I have a p4 3.0GHZ machine with 1024MB of RAM, GeForce 4 Ti2400, and a 800kbit down/256kbit up net connection.

If it is not possible to join in, I could be a test driver for a McLaren driver as my technical knowledge isn't that shabby :p

pRy is also a keyboarder so we have all the aids on (including stability assistance). Some of the wheel users also are using aids so it's a mixed bunch of settings.

Technical feedback eh? Get your arse over to here then. ;)

Everyone, lets arrange the date and time very quick now, I sense confusion and difficulties of getting everyone back, some won't make it, but the show must go on.

I am free on Friday, all day, whats everyone else doing that day, except evening, if your going out of cource. 6PM UK time????

That would be 7pm here, too early. 2 hours later would be perfect.

The Silverstone race was 8:30pm UK time, for Sunday's Germany race, once again 8:30pm should be fine for everyone again.

Probably a good idea to get a show of hands of who is coming along so we can work out numbers.

Anytime is fine with me.

Actually, the Silverstone GP was 20:30 GMT.

Currently (and then), UK time = GMT+1. i.e. The race was run at 9:30pm UK time.

I recall that the reason for this time was to allow pRy enough time to get home to race.

So... What say thee pRy?

I am in Canada so if the bulk of the drivers are in Europe and you race at a time where I'm at work that's just too bad for me. :| I hope to catch a race someday... I'll show you all how to drive very slowly indeed. :D

So we could do 8pm UK time.

PROVISIONAL RACE TIME IS 8PM UK TIME

Work that out for your own time zones. If anyone can't make it, and need bit more time, it will be considered and noted to possibly change the time, but as it stands, 8pm uk time is the one for now.

Goodluck and see you there. :smoking:

And download this http://www.simdirect.../levelfield.zip and extract in into the "F1 Challenge 99-02SeasonDataVehicles" directory and run the "LevelField.bat" file.

The server is being restarted, as there was something not right with hosts game, so if you don't see the server there, keep trying, don't think your out of the game until you click on atlas f1, enter password: slowpoke, and it says game closed, only then have we started the quali and race etc.

goodluck.
