I think I read an article about a new monitoring system of the rear wings at Spa this weekend by the FIA, but I can’t seem to find it now. If anyone has a link to it, I'd appreciate them posting it. Apparently some rear wings flex as much as 6mm under heavy loading, with the worst offenders (from most to least egregious) being Ferrari, Mclaren, then BAR. The FIA has placed small cameras on the rear wings to insure they don’t flex more than 1.5 mm, I believe.
I wonder if the flexing wing had anything to do with Kimi's wreck a few weeks ago, and how the new stiffer wings are going to affect performance this weekend among the top three 'offenders'.
