But Kimi...
This is guy is hailed by HSJ as the next Senna.

I don't remember ever hearing Ayrton getting pissed all the time, and pulling down his jocks in front of lap dancers.

When Kimi does **** like this, he could loose respect from his team members.
Dont forget heavy drinking kills brain cells and slows reaction time. Top racing drivers need everything in tip top condition. Cant afford to go throwing it away.
I bet Kimi never had much full tenage fun. Too much time at the race tracks spent racing. And now he has the cash, he is going for it.
Montoya realises his destiny, and acts accordingly.
Unlike Kimi who keeps imbarrassing himself, and acting like a clown.
I love how HSJ keeps showing us that comment about some guy seeing Senna's eyes in Kimi.

Yup, I agree. It doesn't look like he's hurt anyone, all he's done is made a bit of a fool out of himself. No problem with that, happens to everyone

Methinks Kimi needs to drink more of that champagne rather than spray his team with it.

I never bought into this Mr. Ice tea. Kimi is similar to another Finn. Hakkinen. Away from the track, with people they know, they open up and have a lot of fun.
Kimi has a temper, he loves alcohol, and is freaking horny!
He is no saint like Senna.

I can´t understand what is the big deal with his drinking.
He is young, let him have fun if he wants to. (as long as its not during gp weekends)

Two wrongs dont make a right.
One eats to excess ;)
One drinks to excess

I assure you, Ron will do nothing. He knows fully well that Kimi has spent all of his teenage years racing only, and therefore was inevitably prepared for this. I think in an edition of F1Racing when Ron was hightlighting Kimi's strengths & weaknesses he mentioned this and said later Kimi might realise he's missed some precious time in his youth. Now is that time (after marriage

Remember Ron being boastful of extracting the most out of his drivers. Saying things like recommending them to change somethings -in their lives- or sacrifice this or that in order to be a better driver. All that is obviously BS since -I beleive- he/they never got the maximum of Coulthard. Right now Montoya may be Ron's number 1 in terms of obedience to instructions by coorporate people, since he is new. But it may well change with time....
McLaren exclusively(& secretely) tested new aero parts for MP4-20 at Valencia on Monday & Tuesday -that's why other teams could only test as from Wednesday- with Raikkonen at the wheel. If I am allowed to do some guessing I'd say he wasn't impressed with the results of the test & knows he's in for another 2004-like season... so he doesn't give a damn now.
OR more likely...
Not becoming the youngest WDC ever has got so much over him that he basically has lost motivation & resolve... Remember this was a major reason for him joining McLaren & his NUMBER 1 goal. He was so fixed on this. I'm not even sure he's been training over the winter as one can see he's even taken on some weight....
Bring on 2005 says Montoya privately

In the past years, every time he was interviewed after a podium finish i was always struck by his eerie, emotionally detached countenance; like he should have been wearing a black cape; F1's prince of darkness.
Expect JPM to be wearing a big crucifix outside his uniform come Australia... "Damn you to hell, Räikkönen!"

Yes it is a big scandal If the reports are accurate and the accusations right, common flashing at stripers..

Going out and getting pissed is no big deal. Pulling your pants down in front of strippers while your wife is at home is something a teenager would do. He may be a great racer but he's got lots to learn about handling himself IMO.

Btw, Im not agree that Mika has ever had such behaviour, to me, they are completely different, somehow Mika looks a lot more concentrated and much better team player... anyway, dont expect to hear anything from Ron - Williams style letters, it will be private stuff, we know that he had problems with his wife so its understandable(why on earth 23 years old will marry?)

wRONg!!!
He's just making up for lost time -from his youth when he spent his time racing only & not having enough fun!!
Pretty normal phenomenom.

I don't disagree that such behaviour is completely childish. However, I have not yet understood why this should be considered a "scandal".
Also, how did you reach the conclusion that his wife is "at home"? I somehow find it hard to believe that such "high profile" couples can maintain a normal and healthy relationship. However, this is none of my business so I stop it here.

Valid points that he missed out on some drinking & womanizing opportunities when he was younger because he was focused on racing. Now that he's at the pinnicle of motorsports isn't the time to change focus and try to make up for all the opportunities he missed several years ago. He's gotta focus. If he focuses on bottles & broads, he might be worlds champion one day but it's gonna be worlds champion of bottles & broads.

On a side note, the fact that millionaire just-married KR spends time this way is a big contrast to family guy JPM and it's handed a useful psychological tool to him. Nasty Ron will not be pleased but a bit of needle in the garage might add some spice to the season...

I was going to say that was a cool stunt from Kimi, a much needed James Hunt-type personality in modern F1; but then the article says this:
"Then I looked again and Kimi's hand was there on his crotch with his trousers undone and his body exposed."
Sounds more like a plain reclkless youth with too much money than James Hunt to me. I hope for Kimi's sake that he wasn't jacking off or requesting "services" from the strippers. No class.

Not saying Kimi has done anything wrong, but the money and fame seem to be turning his head somewhat and the focus of a Mika or Michael might serve him better........

OK -
The party guy is now the instructor, however, he does have the most stunning girlfriend so it isn't all bad...

PS: Both these guys lived in the same small village as me. In the village nearest ours a certain Dario Franchitti was renting a room and I only saw him in the pub once !

Seriously, if KR actually acts like this, I can't say I "approve" of it (my approval isn't required

Hopefully KR is not on his way to become another Finnish footnote to the Schumacher era..

Perhaps Kimi is the Paris Hilton of F1. He just needs the small dog and to say "Ewwww! That's hot!" all the time.
