BMW M3 GTR 2003
The car won the voting with more then 8 votes
Peugeot 206 RC 2003 - 2 votes
BMW M3 GTR 2003 - 11 votes
Honda INTEGRA TYPE R (DC5) 2003 - 3 votes
You get the BMW by winning the 'M' Club races at the BMW dealership and there are not restrictions about tuning or anything else.
EDIT!!!! NO NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems)!!!!
And the track for this round is,
Fuji Raceway 90's
This is a hotlap race so just drive as fast as you can around this track with the M3 and post the time in this topic AND on this page, http://www.vgsoftware.com/,
Remember that its never to late to enter the championship, its always open for new drivers

I suggest a one restriction: nitro is the most stupid thing that has been introducted to Gt series ever, please ban the use of it permanently.
It totally unnecessary routine to eject NO2 in the final straight to get a second off the lap time. And I would be really pissed of if I'd forget to do it after a perfect lap. Well, perfect like "perfect" meaning good enough for me

I totally agree on that. It would be too much about who will use NOS in the most effective way. Banning it would get my vote!

I agree as well. Its stupid and I'm also with TT6 on that it should not be used in ANY of the rounds.

I have put up the homepage now, check the driver list and see if your name is there, if its not send a PM to me and I will fix it
To send a time to the page you need to login, then select GT4 Championship from the top menu and then select "Add Time" in the left hand side menu. To view current standing select "Seasons"->"Summer 2005" and then the round you want to view the results for.

you hurt my feelings... hehe time to fire up the ps2!
i did like 8/9 initial laps, fastest time was a 1:22.7.. now seeing how fast my b-spec driver is
there is also a shortcut in the track, can just drive over the grass on the final chicane.. i hope we have a gentleman's agreement on no shortcutting!

I am using a Formula Force GP I bought some years ago for my PC. It works really well and I am much better with it than the DS2.

I know that in the GT 3 championship bumping was allowed for the rally tracks for example but I don't know about cutting corners. Especially on this track it can make a huge difference!

Riding the curbs is a little difficult - too much curb = less exit speed on this track, except at a few places where the curbing is the same level as the road. ie at the chicane, but even there you have to practice caution because too much and you loop the car around, at least I do.
#34
Posted 18 April 2005 - 12:01
I tried after my best time and when cutting the chicane I got a time of 1:18.xxx so a gain of over 2 seconds, its posibleHow can you cut the chicane? There's a fricken wall in the way! On the few laps where I've outbraked myself in to the chicane, not once have I even been able to get anywhere near enough control of the car over the grass to actually gain time.

im guessing the top times will be in the 16s or so.. and yeah i think the more curb with this car the less exist speed, it makes it too unstable.. well my car is currently maxed out with normal suspension though.. still getting a feel for the car and track.. i got a 1.21.2 i think.. still helps of time left!
and i'm using the driving force pro

Just got a 1:15.571 and that was not due to my super driving skillsOriginally posted by A Wheel Nut
I can't control the car but maybe I'm not doing something right?
You have to release the throttle (or just tapp it) when going over the gras and then quickly slowdown for the fast right hander
But, as I have said before, we race on the track, no chichane cuting or other shortcuts.

What driving aids do you lads use?
#41
Posted 18 April 2005 - 15:05
I drive without any driving aids but with automatic gear. I know, its newbish to drive with auto gear but haven't got the time/will to get used to changing gear yet . In F1 games I usually change gear by my self.

Posted 18 April 2005 - 16:49
I make alot of mistakes, it's like 1 out of 20 i get a clean lap. I guess i am pushing too hard
The final corner is crucial with this car cause it's just about flat out and it's not everytime I can get it flat out and that spoils the current lap and the next.
Just let my 7300+ points B-Spec guy do some laps and he only managed high 1:24s hehe

Yeah, the curbs are bad on this track. I can only attack the curbs in two corners, in the rest the car bounces too much but maybe with a propriate setup it's manageable.

Posted 18 April 2005 - 19:33
That's my last run on default setup.
#48
Posted 18 April 2005 - 22:59
Setup wise, so far I've only tweaked the gear ratios and recently the ride height. Other than that, I'm driving the car "as is". Am going to get started with some suspension tuning today - since it's my day off work!
