Hello again everyone!

I thought about a little friendly competition yesterday! :)

This is open to all the XBOX Live Atlas F1 Car Club members and non-members as well(but maybe you should consider joining this elite club!!!).

A weekly challenge is to be made available on sundays and would be in effect 1 full week(or 2???).
The challenge would be made out of a specific track in the Free Run section(be it a Hotlap, an Autocross or even a Point to Point) and a specific Car Class(D,C,B,...).
For example, a challenge could be the TOKYO track and the Car Class could be D!
Now, here are some more specifics we can put in:
- A specific car/model! (Example: Honda Accord)
- Specific tech specs!?!(no more that X hp or no more than X lbs or...)
Certain specs would be enough as a whole specific listing of pieces added to the car would maybe be a little too much, no?

Then again, the challenge could simply be wide open without those limitations...(Tokyo, Class D, any car...)

After the whole week (or 2?) of competition is over, a point system similar to the actual F1 points would be in effect. (I.E. 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1)

The next challenge would be then the privilege of the weekly winner!!! It would simply be his(or her!?!) idea to be brought in as the new challenge!

For the first one, I would simply make it out as I feel... :smoking: (Isn't it great to be president?;) )

Any feedback and/or ideas are welcome!

Let me know what you all think before I give out the first challenge that would start next sunday!!!(if any of you are in for this...)

Cheers! :smoking:

Yves
(aka Whyvezz)

(BTW, this would also be a great way to improve the Car Club stats...;) )

Yeah I'm down !!! I like the 'Any car in a class' thing, but what me and Alucard have been doing when we play online is we say something like.... Class B, no Tommy Kaira's, just to mix it up a little. Because after the TK, ppl use either Exiges's, STi's or even CRX's - this tends to keep things fun rather than the same ol boring Class monsters.

Not much interest from the Club apparently(unless it is silent agreement...;) ).

Anyways, here is the first challenge:
-Point to Point format
-Nurburgring Section B track
-Class C
My additionnal demand is that you use a Subaru STI

As of now, I am ranked #454 with a time of 2:47:273

The challenges will last two weeks but exceptionnaly, this one will have a few days more as it will be ending on August 20th at midnight EDT.

Good luck everyone!

May the best driver win!

right, well after 2 attempts I've got a 2:42.6 - I did buy all the chassis upgrades except tyres and weight, so its still a C1, but I think there probably at least a couple secs that can be trimmed off, someone better could do more for sure.

EDIT: aww ****, just realised I did section C of the ring!!! what a cock!!

Got a 2:43.116 all chassis upgrades except tyres, 1st level weight removal

Perhaps another 2secs can be gained?

You got the fastest time so far, well done. You can't do most of the upgrades, otherwise it goes beyond class C, tyres you can't upgrade, I tried, but it makes it a class B, and were sticking to class C

I'm still about 5 seconds off the top pace, on 49s!

About 2.1 seconds off the best time now, and that 43.1 of Rob Speed will be tough, but I'll keep at it, tough going from here.

Just as I posted the best I thought, you outdid it, well done.

I'll check the xbox live scoreboad for your exact time.

EDITED
You did a 42.676

I'm about 9 tenths off your time.

Your 282 fastest in the world AND I'm 313th, and were not even in the fastest cars for that track, I say once this is over, this challenge, we do the track in CRX SI-R, the fastest cars in class C

Once you log in, you actually have to set the time after you logged in, if you set the time offline and then go online, it won't upload to scoreboads.

When you finish a point to point challenge, and press ok, it will upload to scoreboards if you are online.

sorry dude, I did a 2:41.7 last night, but I keep wanking up the tight left hander with the high curbs, I've nealry completely decked the car, so it hates those curbs and you need to be spot on. I think I can find another second, but that's prolly it. It annoys me how some of the quicker leaderboard times are so fast... you just know they're doing the start line cheat. There's no way there's over 10 secs to be found on that track. Anyhoo... I'll give it another crack tonight

I don't mind being 3 tenths off your pace, I can do better.

Yeah I don't pay attention to first say 40 or 50 times on the leaderboards, I just compare times with people on my friends list like you, and I'm normally pleased to be under 400 in the world on the leader boards, or in the 100s, or whatever I've done, and knowing I did the time properly.

2:41.072 I AM THE FASTEST!!! AT THIS TIME,

Good lap, not totally as perfect as I would like, lost a few tenths early part of the lap, but I understand what you guys were talking about in regards to a second being out there, there's probabley a 40.7 to be had, not much more then that I would think. I did put a rear tyre on kerbing a bit in one corner, so 2 or 3 tenths there, could be half a second then maximum to find.

Yes, don’t know if I’ll get down to the 42s like you guys, but I see a 44 or 43 in my future.
There are 3 sections that I need to master, I get them now and then, but not all on the same lap.
And that last right flick with the left…. What a friggin nightmare!

Good time Sean!! I think the setup will give up a little time. I'm using quite a hard suspension setup and the ride height is nearly decked out. If I soften it up a little and raise the car I should be able to ride the curbs.... maybe thats worth a go. But good effort mate

Thanks, took many attempts to understand what was required for set up, then took many attempts to get the best time and hook every part up as good as I could, thats the tough part at times, knowing there is speed to get, but overcooking it with aggression and making a error and losing time.

Well I did a few runs last night and managed a 2:39.757 I don't know where it came from as I'd done a couple 2:40's then just as I thought I had a scrappy lap I pull this one out! There are only maybe 3 main braking zones, everywhere else you either lift off or lightly tap a bit of left trigger braking.

So the new weekly challenge is:

Car:

Ferrari 512 TR

Class: A

Free run best time in Point to point at Nurburgring C

Current fastest time 2:48.117

Few corners, but alot of top speed, this could be close, it's why I chose it, plus I know 335 challenge ferrari's dominate the class A, so I thought people would have nurburgring point to point C free for a ferrari 512 TR time battle.

This is my favorite car, not the fastest, but I'm fond of this update to the ferrari testarossa, I love driving it in white like in Miami Vice, the 80s cop show.

LOL

Drive the car in white to respect Miami Vice, and I'll respect you all more as well.
