Also livery, the website has yellow and black which I don;t think we've seen since Minardi and Renault used those colours years ago, but I wonder whether they ought to go for something striking just for exposure. Rentokil dayglo orange would be something, though I suppose Ferrari already has that. Flourescent yellow, eggshell blue, anything but grey.

I predict Honda WCC and WDC.
On serious note I wonder if they can run their own KERS that they were testing or do they have to run the KERS from Mercedes or are they even going to use KERS at all?

For all members of the team it has not been an easy winter and I truly hope their collective suffering will be rewarded with good racing this coming season!

If it was Brawn Racing then the "BR" like that would have neatly worked as the acronym for the full name.

What's interesting to note is that all shares in Honda GP Ltd have been transferred to Ross Brawn solely.
No equity for other members.

The team was sold for a symbolic figure. The buyer just had to provide some assurance they could take the team further.Originally posted by rad787
I wonder how much Ross Brawn paid for it. And if he still has money left in his bank account![]()
Honda is still providing some funding this year. But they will be on their own as of 2010.

I'm sure Brawn has a group of investors. He may not even be the majority shareholder, depends on many factors. But obviously running the team in Brackley isn't cheap.
One way or the other, deciding to move to Honda turned out to be a great career move. He's ended up with his own team, perhaps a very fine one at that (we'll see).

Definitely the most interesting part of the announcement so far. What odds that Fry is one of the first redundancies? I can't imagine his salary is cheap, and when compared with his contribution ... Unless he's bringing some funding to the table (and I doubt it), I suspect he'll be gone.Originally posted by Timstr11

An article in the Guardian today (Digger column) describes his appearence at FOTA as being so short as to be a remarkable disappearing act, adding to the impression he's been marginalised and adding to speculation he'll lose his position.Originally posted by Ross Stonefeld
I doubt it, I don't think he'd have been on the FOTA panel yesterday if that was the case.

More private teams, maybe SC Racing (Stepney&Coughlan)

Fry isn't mentionned anywhere in the latest and final takeover news... that pretty much says it all..

...also, despite the different colours, the 'swoosh' logo and the 'BR' logo's coloured bands are quite similar in proportion!
Or perhaps I've just had too many cornflakes for breakfast

No expense spared on the website design front. Their trackside IT engineer Gary Foote had a hand in it. Marginally better than the USF1/USGPE effort though ;)

Lets start off with what we do know:
Chassis: BGP 001
Engine: Mercedes-Benz FO 108W
Gearbox: McLaren internals with redesigned casing (TBC)
KERS: McLaren/Mercedez-Benz (probably not running in Australia)
Colour scheme: Team - White/black/yellow Sponsor - Blue/Red/White (rumour)
First run - Friday 6th March 2009 (Silverstone)
First Test - Monday 9th March 2009 (Barcelona)
First Race - Sunday 29th March (Melbourne)
Hopefully we might get some leaked information from the shakedown today, but most likely to see the car for the first time on Monday morning - can't wait!!

The extent of Honda F1 Chief Executive Nick Fry's involvement in the newly-reborn Brawn GP is yet to be clarified.
The 52-year-old Briton, whose presence in the world of Formula One dating back to the British American Racing (BAR) team guise has often attracted harsh criticism, represented the Brackley squad on Thursday when the Formula One Teams’ Association presented its future vision to the press in Geneva.
But, several hours later, his name was not mentioned once in the 700-word press release heralding the birth of the team's new guise under the ownership and leadership of Ross Brawn.
In Geneva, Fry was the first to leave the FOTA event, refusing to take questions from the floor, The Guardian newspaper revealed and ‘did nothing to dispel the growing impression that he has been marginalised at the team he once led,’ the newspaper claimed.

Where as Brawn, this is his passion and his life. Maybe hes willing to do it for nothing out of love? who knows... He's also proven himself already many many times so there isnt a risk involved like there would be with Fry.
Great news though.
