Can I suggest we take that discussion over to the Rich Energy thread, and make this one about Haas 2019?

So, we can expect a copy, colour wise, of the Lotus E20 from 2012 then I think?

Black and gold only worked once in F1.. Lotus did it right with JPS. Any other attempt later on was disappointing.

In 2017, KMag emerged as one of the villains of the grid. 2018 was pretty much in the same vein.

Will 2019 be any different?

I dont see why he would change. The incident with Ocon on the straight was a close one. Someday he will cause yet another incident and other driver will be hurt and he will learn the hard way how to behave on the track. Oh and that dumb*** Steiner will learn a thing or two too.

I wonder how many points will this team lose this season because of their driver' sheer stupidity on the track. Just a thought of seeing Grosjean in the midfield this competitive in 2019 is sending shivers down my spine

Can I suggest driver arguments are taken to driver threads, and we keep this one about Haas 2019 and the impending launch?

It worked for Wolf, or were they dark blue and gold?

As I mentioned in the Rich Energy thread, the RE site is poorly created. You can access their image upload directory listing as it isn't secured.

Pick your favourite concept!

I think there might be some white/silver in it, other than just Black/Gold

Blue indeed. But to be honest, even if it were black it wouldn't be my choice.

It really reminds me on Lotus. It will feels weird. Specially if that gold looks more yellowy than gold on the track under sun. I do hope Renault new car contains less black with some white and lot of yellow. You want some distinction on the grid.

It does look like it's going to be one of those pretend JPS Lotuses from the early 2010s.

I genuinely want them to have a great year after the winter fun in the Rich thread. Would be fantastic to have a solid midfield fighter nipping heels at the runaways.

Fortunately, the Rich Energy farrago shouldn't have any impact on how well the car and drivers fare.

Remember that 2006 Mclaren? Now imagine that kind of bling-gold on this car. I mean the whole car.

Haas F1 team will BEAT Red Bull this season, according to team’s sponsors, Rich Energy

Storey: "We are confident we will beat Red Bull in many races this year. That is holy grail marketing but sometimes you get a bit of serendipity and right timing."

"Red Bull have spent £250billion in F1 and last year across Toro Rosso and Red Bull, there or there abouts, £400million"

"Ultimately, we are going to have a better-looking car."

You never know. It'll come down to the engine not the drink brand.

Black cars work on a colourful grid but on a largely grey grid they're a bit 'meh'

Great, organize a whole event with broadcasting and everything but then just put the pictures on twitter before it even begins. Couldn't they wait 15 minutes?

Waste-gate pipes now stacked (Ferrari tested in Germany last season) and some really funky mirror mounts.

Crazy looking rear wing, too.
