Jacques is a lot closer to HHF.

Edit: There’s the swap. Time for our championship fight.

I had almost forgotten digital advert boards which about every circuit had somewhere in 1997. In Jerez on the background near turn 3.

I don’t think I’d ever noticed them. But I suppose it just shows that today’s digital adverts aren’t anything new.

The audio quality (presumably from the media facilities at Jerez) is terrible!

Brundle does the obligatory "The car behind isn't really closing in at the slow corners, it just looks that way". I've asked before, but when did they stop doing that?

Frentzen is dropping back quickly - is he deliberately keeping the McLarens back from the lead fight?

HHF has really fallen back into the McLarens. Also nice to see Damon hanging on to them rather than falling back.

I think they were selling different adverts to different parts of the world.

Brundle thinks so. So much tactics.

Exactly. A handy green screen for each broadcaster.

Edit. On that shot it was advertising DF1.

Irvine hasn't done much figuring out of the Ferrari since Monaco last week. Still waiting for that test session?

Panis back past Alesi, according to the timing.

I've been wiping my screen for ages wondering why I can't get rid of the little mark on it. I've just realised that it's on one of the circuit cameras

I like to think the silence during the ad break meant Murray and Martin were just sat in total silence, possibly disinterestedly eating crisps before they got the ‘and we’re back!’ Signal

Nowadays it would be a hashtag making fun of Villeneuve's changing hair colour.

Do you mean just the commentary? The track sounds are pretty good. Even hear the cars on the kerbs occasionally.

Or the driver of the day vote, which would pretty much be won every time by Jos Verstappen.

Magnussen has improved a lot this season and is showing Barrichello the way this weekend. Perhaps he will lead the Stewart team in 1998.

Here's a good opportunity for Frentzen to back Schumacher into Villeneuve.

Frentzen’s out of the picture now with the McLarens in front of him. Hoping for no more blocking and baulking and just a clean fight now.

Villeneuve out behind Coulthard!
