Was that Williams a good car or was Ralf just doing really, really well with it? So hard to tell given Zanardi was off the pace all year.
Of course it was a decent upper midfield car in a competitive year. You can't judge a car by the struggling driver. Plus we have a fair idea of how good Ralfy was overall.

Championship leader Hakkinen pits! Looks wet around the back of the pits.

Ron Dennis's call for tyres. What could go wrong?

Did Irvine get a new front wing?

Major mal-misorganisation problem. I love it. Still, they shaved eight seconds off Salo's stop.

How are Ferrari ever going to win another championship with that sort of "teamwork"?

Salo's pit stop caused confusion. They were ready for Irvine, but he went for another lap, then Salo became in because he had damaged front wing, they moved Irvine's tyres aside and then they weren't able to find one when Eddie finally pitted.

Surprised that Irvine only lost about 20 seconds there. He somehow ended up about a minute behind Herbert at the flag. It was a strangely lacklustre day for both title contenders.

A live championship table would have Frentzen, Irvine and Hakkinen all level on 60 points.

McLaren's tyre choice might have just saved Eddie Irvine's championship, despite Ferrari's best efforts.

IMHO it rarely goes well when the big boss makes strategy calls.
Was it Ron Dennis's call to leave Hamilton out until his tyres were worn to the canvas in China in 2007?
