Worrying for Diniz. He's not getting out.

Fastest marshal intervention I've ever seen in F1.

It did look like Hill parked in the middle of the corner there. So strange

I think you can say that Wurz scored a knock-out!

I suspect Damon had a drivetrain failure of some sort. Possibly due to the second start.

How can a car's roll hoop shear off so easily? I'd be worried about my safety if I was Jean Alesi right now.

There was actually accident in F3 race earlier that year in the same corner where roll-bar failed similarly. That time driver wasn't as lucky and he was paralysed.

Old vs new first-corner complex at the Nürburgring - which do you prefer?

I like the old one because it just gets on with it and goes on to more interesting parts of the track.

The Nurburgring short circuit has three things going for it: the hairpin, the fast climb back up to the pits, and the weather.

The new one is an abomination. I don't know what happened in Germany in the early 2000s but it seems like every one of their circuits had their first corners ruined.

Identical failure to the one that would go on to cost Frentzen the race. This is the race that got me into F1!

The new first corner is better in my opinion. The problem is what comes after it.

Before the current Mercedes domination era, the word "ominous" was reserved for this type of sky.

Firstly, I really don't remember so many cool over the shoulder cameras being used back then. They were great.

Second, can "Ralfy" stick for Schumacher?

The biggest issue with the one was that second corner (left-hander) was tighter than the first which led to situation where cars short-cutting the chicane were more dangerous for those staying on track as they returned.

Can't find the video right now but F3000 race in 2000 is a good example of that.

Zanardi should have stayed in CART, wonder what Montoya would be doing in that Williams, but JPM is glad he want to CART.

He's not quick, and slightly helped by Fisichella being super slow behind.

So disappointed with Zanardi. I don't know what's not clicking at Williams, but he's better than this.

Tyres also play a huge part in the wake, Pirellis would degrade too much. These 99 tyres don't seem to mind.

If dirty air was really a problem there would be about 1.5 seconds between each pair of cars.
