So we still have 7 weeks to go for winter testing to begin before we can make our calculated predictions but this thread ain't for that. This is where you let your imagination loose and put it on the line. Make your bold predictions here, as many as you want to. One more thing, don't be afraid of being wrong cos these are more based on your intuition than calculation.

I reckon that’s all very plausible. Sainz-Leclerc could go either way I think, Sainz is going in slightly underestimated. Sadly, who even knows whether they’ll be battling for victories or for seventh place, such are Ferrari.

Not that I think it will happen, but if I had to make an out there prediction that I think is plausible I would go for Stroll to beat Vettel.

Vettel finds his mojo again, impresses, and finishes 5th in the championship behind Mercedes and Red Bull drivers.

That would have been bold a year ago but this year not really considering they finished 6th in 2020.

Now that's bold. But I can see it happening.

My bold claims:
1) Verstappen to be champion
2) Alonso will not make the podium in 2021
3) Raikkonen will retire mid season

1. Williams will be in Q3 at least once
2. Racing Point will beat Ferrari in WCC
3. Stroll will score more podiums than Perez
4. Ferrari will not win a race
5. A team will not start in a race (double DNS for whatever reason, technical problems, illegal car, a protest against FIA, coronavirus-related problems, etc.). The race has to take place, of course.
6. There will be a race with 3 Mercedes-powered cars on the podium
7. Stroll will win a race or take a pole position

4 out of 7.. can you do better in 2021?

Vettel wins at least 2 races.
Ocon beats Alonso.
Mick spends most of the season qualifying last behind Mazepin and Latifi.
Tsunoda beats Gasly from the summer onwards.
McLaren builds a **** car.

1) Mercedes clean sweep for season victories

2) Ricciardo will be the top points scorer for Class B (non-RBR/Mercedes)

3) Perez will podium more often than Max

Hope I'm wrong about the first one.

Bottas wins the title after Hamilton hits some bad luck, sparking a conspiracy that it was an arranged gift from Mercedes for his loyal service

Aston Martin down to P6 in WCC with no podiums

Stroll more or less matching Vettel but both inconsistent, making proper comparison difficult

Williams beats Haas to P9 in WCC

Ferrari third best and we're back to dominant top 3 teams who will sweep nearly all the podiums of the season...

...with only two for others - Ricciardo and Alonso

Tsunoda matching Gasly by mid-season

1. Perez will outqualify Max like once at most all season, but still do a solid points scoring job.
2. Vettel will get his mojo back and dish out a demolition job of poor old Lance Stroll.
3. Sainz’s performances will take a little bit of the shine off Leclerc.
4. McLaren Mercedes will emerge as a genuine threat at the front on occasion and Ricciardo will beat Norris comfortably.
5. Ocon will outperform Alonso
6. Russell still won’t bring home points but will still be ranked in Autosport’s top ten at the end of the season.
7. Mick Schumacher will really struggle with a lack of raw pace
8. A new threat will emerge from nowhere to steal the crown of F1’s smuggest git from Christian Horner.

Alot of expectation that Sainz is going to make Leclerc look ordinary by matching or beating him. Interesting.

Not sure about "bold" prediction but I think Ricciardo will smack Norris around.

McLaren wins WCC, but Ricciardo loses the WDC to Alonso after a clerical error reorders the results alphabetically.

Mercedes disqualified for using a car that looks too much like the Aston.

Perez looks impressive in testing, but fails to be competitive after RB allot him a single set of tires for the entire season.

Monza red flagged after Kimi falls asleep while waiting for the lights to go out.

Red Bull announce their new engine partner as 'discarded engines from previous years'.

Haas takes 2nd in WCC after discovering that they'd been misreading the weight requirements as pounds rather than kilograms.

Hamilton struggles the entire season, managing only a 10th place in the final race to beat Filipe Massa by a single point.

Donald Trump announces an investment in Rich Energy, claims to be the title sponsor of every team and top driver of three, then sues the FIA for not recognizing his WDC, which he won tremendously.

Perez to place above Verstappen in the WDC.

Raikkonen to sign for Ferrari again for 2022

Ocon to cause a SC in a race Alonso podiums in.

Sainz not to see out the season with Ferrari

Vettel not to spin in any race

The two Haas' not to collide all season.

Mercedes and Lewis continue to be unchallenged.

Viewership will be at worryingly terrible levels.  Will be one of the most forgettable and poorly considered seasons ever.

F1 is dying.  2021 will make this more and more clear to those still in denial.

2. We will have a race with less than 14 cars finishing

3. Two or more race winning drivers will retire after the season

I don’t believe for a second that Sainz will beat or even match Leclerc. Don’t really understand what it’s based on really either. Sure, he’s been consistent at McLaren, but it’s clearly visible that Leclerc has the better talent and outright pace. Also, he knows the team better and the car as well. Sainz only has 1,5 day in the car to get to know it. It could even become a Raikkonen 2014 esque season for Sainz. Difficult car to drive, high expectations for the new driver at the team.

Sainz is one of the most professional drivers I watched. In the second half of the season he will be there.
