Hungarian Grand Prix the 13th race of a never-ending season, heat and humidity, drama and suspense, villain and paladin... this weekend will have it all and then some.

The Hungarian national dish is Gulyás, also known internationally as Goulash. It’s a rich and hearty beef stew that is seasoned with Hungary’s favorite spice, paprika, and includes a variety of seasonal vegetables. Goulash is a beloved dish across Hungary, often served with bread, atop mashed potatoes, or simply enjoyed in a bowl. It’s emblematic of the country’s rich agricultural tradition and meat-centric cuisine.

When I lived in Germany in the early 90's there were chips (crisps to you in the UK) that were listed as "Ungarisch" and I was confused.  Turns out they are "Hungarian style" and what is called "bar-b-q chips in the US (paprika).  Delicious.

Love how instantly integral Roscoe became to the Hamilton image. Like everyone murmured, ‘yes, this feels RIGHT. We didn’t know it before but now we see he was always lacking a funny little dog.’

Let me quibble....

BBQ chips are the culinary equivalent of a jazz band—every brand hits you with a riff of flavors so varied, you’d think they were trying to emulate every regional BBQ pit from Texas to Timbuktu. They toss in a smorgasbord of smoky, tangy, salty, sweet, and a dash of paprika for good measure. It’s like they’re throwing a flavor party and every spice in the cupboard is invited. And just like jazz, you either get it or you don’t.

Paprika chips, on the other hand, are like that one-trick pony at the talent show. They’ve got one job: paprika. And they stick to it with a single-minded devotion that’s almost admirable. Sweet or hot, they’re the Ron Swanson of chips—no fuss, no frills, just paprika doing its paprika thing.

So while BBQ chips are out there trying to be the life of the party with their complex, “look-at-me-I’m-so-barbecue” vibe, paprika chips are sitting back, cool as a cucumber, content in their simplicity. Because sometimes, all you need is one good spice to make a statement.

The flood seems to have been a temporary setback, and it is not anticipated to disrupt the upcoming F1 events.

Whatever that mean.

There was a big storm today but it's looking hot & dry for the weekend itself.

Hoping for a bit of a Ferrari comeback given the conditions & track layout.

It is genuinely not the worst map of the circuit I’ve seen published.

Also, if it was Indycar, they genuinely would have a stupid chicane after the last corner. Probably due to some railways tracks crossing the circuit or something.

Interesting kink just before the straight. Track-limits will be a problem, because all drivers will try to straightline it by taking too much curb.

I actually thought that was the trace of Vettel's 360 ten years ago.

That reminds me, my son was clamouring to get the snazzy Lewis Hamilton Fortnite skin this week, not because he loves F1 (he doesn't, the swine) but mainly for Roscoe.

Yes, he's the original Roscoe. Coco unfortunately crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago - that's why Roscoe's instagram page is "roscoelovescoco".

As for Leo and now Simba, well, I have plenty of thoughts on dogs being used as fashion accessories for clout-chasing wannabe influencers, that don't belong here...

Apparently the roof has blown off the McLaren hospitality twice since setup began on Monday. At this point perhaps McLaren should just replace it, it's clearly cursed.

The hero in Disney's "The Lion King"

Voiced by the singer from Toto (think hold the line rather than this is so not right) who also sang the Gummy Bears theme tune and is son of the great John Williams.

Fab internet rabbit hole that, definitely Google the meaning of M’Toto in Swahili.

Joseph Williams came along later on in the Toto Line-up, Don't know who sang "Hold the line" OTOMH.

Toto was fairly well known early on already in the Netherlands  and I liked their music since those early days already, way before `IV` with Rosanna & Africa came along and made them big worldwide

But Joseph Williams was one of the two main singers on what is possibly Toto's best song ever:  "Home of the brave"

With "the Lion king" songs I first think about Elton John & "Circle of live"

if you left it to Lewis a few years ago he still would have brought along a lap dog driver for team mate as well.

I enjoyed the amount of text devoted to goulash.

The me the ULTRA-HD picture of the track with all the possible information as well as the interactivity was just commendable.

On a slightly more serious note - 70+ laps on a seemingly scorching heat makes for an endurance race - hopefully it also melts the tires so that we´ll get 4-stoppers and drama.
