I'm trying to upload the copy of the letter I've seen, but with no avail.

 

It reads: ‘Unfortunately, I have to inform you that Mr. Seiffert passed away last year on 11 November 2020’.

 

This is from his daughter; Andrea Wiemer-Frank, who, as she runs an automobile business in Cologne, has some tangible link to both Cologne and the car world. 

 

I've accepted that short of an official notice, it's probably as good as we'll get.

Richard, I am the opposite. I have trouble recalling what I did the week before, yet I can recall in vivid detail down to the date, and filled with minutae, things I did in the mid-1970s
