Massa is really back to his best again, which is nice....Fernando will have difficult times with him this year, especially in qualifyings.

Massa is a number 2. He has no choice but to do as he is told. Even of he is leading a race they have ways of making him fall behind Alonso. His only hope is to keep performing well in Qualification and maintain his excellent starts.

Formula Pirelli again. Its good though, provides the show and stops RBR's domination.

Oh, Jesus! Another Fernando-hater!
Did you watch the last race? You know, it was held in Australia, 22 cars were running around the streets of Melbourne... Felipe was ahead of Fernando and he came earlier in the pit for his first stop while Fernando was struggling out there for one more lap. Ferrari don't favourize one specific driver, Ferrari try to play into the hands of the driver who is in better position! Try to get familiar with it.

BTW Alonso and Hamilton are the only ones who can drive the heart out of the car even when it's undriveabble.

As we saw in 09 when Kovalainen was as fast as Hamilton when McLaren really struggled

The PR department at Pirelli must not like this.

Guys Kimi is going to be WDC he looks unbeatable. I think him winning a WDC (other than Tiger Woods winning a Major ) would be the biggest sports come back story this year. Also think next year Reanult would be a bigger force to reckon with. Very excited about this year already!! Renault vs Ferrari vs RB

Still doing better!

It´s only free practice so I wont get excited about any times. It´s just that IMO the Kimi hype is getting a little bit too much at the moment. Everybody suddenly seems to like him.

The official live timing is really rubbish for mixed conditions. You cannot see lap time history (so the laps in the dry always stay there), do head-to-head comparisons of drivers/cars etc. There is just so much more they could do there ..

The app does show a lot more info. It even shows if they are on used or new tires.

As a fan of Kimi I hope it stays dry! He wasn´t that convining on the wet (but still not bad) but he is pretty good in dry conditions (of course we dunno fuel loads ... doubt that he is THAT much faster than everyone else)

That's amazing. He is not that far from the best times in the dry of midfield cars on a still wet (but drying) track. Lotus looks like the best car (by far) so far.

yeah his wet pace was ok but nothing that special but maybe he took it a bit easier...his dry pace has been by far the best today but indeed fuel loads unknown...would say he is fighting in 1-5h places in qualifying if dry and again racepace looks strong if dry.

But why should they invest money and time on something that less than 1% of the fans use?

I know i know, waaaaaay too early to tell, but if Lotus takes another win this weekend, it'll take one or two more races for some top pilots and teams (not mentioning anyone, but we all know who's whining when things don't come their way) to insinuate stuff about the car... (i already read ride height adjustment trick rumours here and there)

Why there is this kind of service for winter testing? It shouldn't be expensive or difficult for them.

It does for everyone. Just buy the tablet app. Yes, it costs money, but it shows all practice lap times, tyre stints, top speeds and allows in-sync replay if you can't watch the session live. Mind you, today it didn't due some glitch at the track.

Force India looking better than in Melbourne; diResta even setting that competitive time on primes. Williams, remarkably, is probably looking worse (than in Melbourne)!
Räikkönen and Lotus can surely entertain thoughts of winning again, but to me it seems it will once again be Ferrari they will have to battle, rather than Red Bull.
Mercedes not very impressive today, especially on lower fuel and on the inters. Their long-runs was more promising though, but as I wrote in the WO4-thread it's hard to compare in a session like this.

1% of F1 fans still bring millions in revenue.
